Philip Price

Music Bio

Philip Price has been singing, playing and performing music since the 1960s, building a lifelong connection to music that has continued through multiple albums, original compositions and live performances.

A multi-instrumentalist, Phil plays guitar, piano and bass, with a repertoire spanning Country, Blues, Pop, Folk, Jazz, Broadway and Movie Music from the 1960s through the 2000s.

Over the years, Phil has released several albums showcasing different sides of his musicianship. His 2010 album Odyssey features 11 original piano compositions. In 2015, Lend Me Your Ears expanded into a large-scale production featuring Phil as lead vocalist alongside four additional singers and more than 35 professional musicians. He returned to a more intimate singer-guitarist format with Sixteen Tunes in 2020, followed by Love Mix in 2022, featuring Phil as vocalist and guitarist with guest vocalists and instrumentalists from California.

Since moving to the Monterey Peninsula nine years ago, Phil has continued performing both as a solo musician and in small-group settings throughout the area. He has also performed with the Monterey Peninsula Voices Choir.

In Spring 2026, Phil began a new musical chapter by bringing together vocalist Rachel DeMaster and pianist Michael Martinez to form The Phil Harmonix, a flexible musical group created around strong vocals, musicianship and a diverse repertoire.

Music has remained a constant throughout Phil's life, even alongside a successful professional career. Before retiring, he held executive positions in health care and information technology across the country. Phil earned his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Today, Phil continues to record, perform and explore new musical collaborations from his home on California's Monterey Peninsula.
